Peanut Butter Pie
Peanut Butter Pie is one of the easiest pies to make. And for those of us with a sweet tooth, pie eating will never be the same. Ingredients
Filling
8 oz cream cheese
8 oz peanut butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1 large package of whipped cream Crust
Chocolate Graham crackers
2 tbs melted butter
1 egg
Mixing the Peanut Butter Filling
Begin by mixing the cream cheese and peanut butter until blended thouroughly.
Add the sugar and continue to blend until smooth.
Finally, add the whipped cream.
Continue to mix until the filling is one consistency.
Refrigerate. Making the Crust
Crush the Chocolate Graham crackers and place in a mixing bowl.
Add the melted butter to the crumbs, and mix until all crumbs are coated.
Place the crumbs into the bottom of a pie pan.
Using the back of a spoon, spread the crumbs across the pan to create a crust.
Break the egg into a small bowl.
Whisk the egg until blended.
Using a pastry brush, brush a small amount of egg over the crust.
Bake on 350 for 5-7 minutes
The crust will continue to harden after it has been removed from the oven. Finishing the Pie
Once the crust has cooled, fill with Peanut Butter Filling. The pie can be topped with one of the following items,
Crushed Peanuts
Chocolate Cracker Crumbs
Chocolate Chips
Chocolate Shavings The pie is best if kept refrigerated.
